The import fills a new pageo page from the page you use now. It reads your public page once and changes nothing there, so your old page keeps working until you change your bios.
Import your page
- Open Import, or the guide for your tool under Switch to pageo.
- Choose From a page and enter your page address, for example
linktr.ee/yourname. If your tool blocks reading, choose Paste links and paste your links, one per line. - Choose Preview import and check what pageo found: your name, social icons, and links.
- Choose Create my page with these, then sign up and pick your username.
Your new page opens in the editor with everything the import found. Making the page takes a few seconds, because pageo loads a preview image for each link.
What the import reads
| Source | Name and bio | Photo | Social icons | Links |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Linktree | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Any other public page, such as a Carrd site | From the page title and description | From the share image | From the links on the page | Yes |
| Pasted links | No | No | Yes | Yes |
- Social profiles, such as
instagram.com/you, become icons, one per platform and at most eight. A post or a video, such as a YouTube watch link, becomes a link card. - Duplicate links are dropped, and so are
utm_tags that the old tool added. - Your photo is copied to pageo, so the page keeps it after you close the old account.
- Beacons, lnk.bio, bio.link, and solo.to answer requests from other services with an error, so pageo cannot read their pages. Paste your links instead.
What stays behind
- Analytics history. pageo counts visits and clicks from the day your page goes live.
- Products, courses, bookings, and store items. Add the links to them as cards.
- Email lists. Export them from the old tool before you close it.
- Themes and fonts. Pick a layout and colors in Layout in the editor.
After the import
- Check each link card in the editor. Change a title, a description, or the image where the preview is wrong.
- Add a bio or a role if the import did not find one.
- Publish the page.
- Change the link in your Instagram, TikTok, X, and other bios to
pageo.me/yourname. - With pageo Pro, put the page on your own domain. See Custom domains.
When an import fails
- We found no links there. The page had no links pageo could read. Paste your links instead.
- That site would not let us read the page. The tool blocks requests from other services. Paste your links instead.
- We could not find a page at that address. Check the address for a typo.
A page you already have does not change. The import fills a new page when you sign up. On a page you already have, add links in the editor.
