Visitors can subscribe to your page with their email address. When you change your page, you send them an update. Subscribers are part of pageo Pro.

1Turn on the button

  1. In your pageo admin sidebar, under Grow, choose Audience.
  2. Turn on Show "Get updates" on public page.
  3. Under Button label, pick the text on the button: Get updates, Subscribe, Notify me, or Stay updated.

The button shows at the top right of your page. Changes on the Audience page save on their own. In the sidebar, Audience shows how many people subscribed, and a green dot while the button is on.

2How a visitor subscribes

  1. The visitor taps the button, enters an email address and, if they want, a name. Then they choose Continue.
  2. pageo emails a 6-digit code. The code expires in 10 minutes.
  3. The visitor enters the code and chooses Verify.

Only a confirmed email joins your list. After 5 wrong codes, the visitor asks for a new code. One email address can ask for 3 codes in an hour.

3Your subscriber list

The Subscribers list on the Audience page shows each subscriber's email, name, and the date they joined. Search the list by email or name.

Export CSV downloads the list with the email, name, and date each person subscribed.

4Send an update

  1. On the Audience page, choose Send update.
  2. Add a Subject and a Message. An empty subject becomes "Update from" your name "on pageo", for example "Update from Maya Chen on pageo". Leave the message blank to send only the link to your page.
  3. Choose Send update.

You can send 2 updates in 24 hours. The Audience page shows how many you have left today.

After you publish changes in the editor, pageo also offers to send an update. There, AI Draft writes a subject and a message from the changes you published. Skip for this session stops the offer until you close the browser tab.

Every update has an Unsubscribe link. A person who unsubscribes gets no more updates and leaves your list.
