With pageo Pro, your page can load at your own domain, such as you.com, or a subdomain, such as links.you.com. Your pageo pass moves with it, to /pass on your domain.
Add your domain
- In your pageo admin sidebar, under Custom Domain, choose Add Your Own Domain.
- Enter your domain without
https://, for examplelinks.you.com. - pageo shows two DNS records. Add both at the company where you bought the domain.
The records
A subdomain such as links.you.com:
| Type | Host | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | links | cname.pageo.me |
| TXT | _pageo-verification.links | The token pageo shows you |
A root domain such as you.com:
| Type | Host | Value |
|---|---|---|
| A | @ | 216.198.79.1 |
| TXT | _pageo-verification | The token pageo shows you |
Some providers add your domain to the host for you. If yours does, enter only the part shown above.
Verification
pageo checks your records every few seconds while the dialog is open, and tells you when the domain connects. DNS changes usually take 5 to 10 minutes, and some providers take longer. You can also press Verify domain to check again.
Good to know
- One custom domain per account.
- Your page stays at
pageo.me/yourusernameas well. - A root domain cannot point at pageo and at another website at the same time. Use a subdomain if
you.comalready hosts a site. - If your Pro plan ends, your domain stops showing your page. Your page stays at
pageo.me/yourusername, and your domain settings are kept, so it works again when you resubscribe. - To disconnect, choose Manage Domain in the sidebar and remove it, then delete the records at your provider.
