A subdomain is a prefix added to a domain, such as shop.example.com or links.example.com, that can point to a different site than the main domain.
A domain like example.com can have many subdomains: www.example.com, blog.example.com, links.example.com. Each one can point to a different service with its own DNS record.
Subdomains let you add a link-in-bio page, a shop, or a help center to a domain you already use, without moving your main website.
A subdomain usually connects with a CNAME record, which points it at the service's address. The main domain, also called the root or apex domain, usually needs an A record instead.
Example
A studio keeps its main site at studio.example and connects links.studio.example to its link-in-bio page for social profiles.
In pageo
pageo Pro works with a subdomain such as links.yourname.com or with a root domain. A subdomain needs a CNAME record and a TXT record.
