A custom domain is a domain name you own, such as yourname.com, that you connect to a service so your page loads at your own address.
Most tools give you an address on their domain, such as pageo.me/yourname. A custom domain lets the same page load at an address you bought from a registrar, such as yourname.com or links.yourname.com.
Owning the address gives you control. If you move to another tool, you point the domain at the new service, and every printed card, QR code, and old post keeps working.
Connecting a domain means adding DNS records at your registrar. The service then checks the records and issues a security certificate, so the page loads over HTTPS.
Example
A consultant buys alexkim.com and connects it to their link-in-bio page. Clients type a name they remember instead of a platform address.
In pageo
pageo Pro connects one custom domain or subdomain per account. You add a CNAME or an A record and a TXT record, and pageo checks them for you.
