Click-through rate (CTR) is the number of clicks divided by the number of views, shown as a percentage. It measures how well a link earns clicks.
The formula is clicks divided by views, times 100. If 400 people view your page and 60 of them click your first link, that link's CTR is 15%.
CTR is used for search results, ads, emails, and links on a page. In each case it answers one question: when people see this, do they act on it?
On a link-in-bio page, comparing CTR between links shows which ones visitors care about. A link with a low CTR may need a clearer title, a higher position, or removal.
Example
A writer moves their newsletter link from the fourth spot to the first. Its CTR rises from 3% to 11% in the next month.
