Yes. Linktree has a free plan, and it does not expire. It gives you unlimited links and email sign-ups. The limits are elsewhere: Linktree branding stays on your page, insights go back 28 days, you get one featured link, and selling digital products needs a paid plan. No plan, free or paid, lets you use your own domain.
We checked every fact below on Linktree's pricing page and its help center on October 26, 2026. Linktree shows prices in your local currency, so the US prices here may not match yours. We make pageo, a Linktree alternative, so we say where pageo fits at the end and keep it apart from the facts.
What the free plan includes
- Unlimited links. Linktree calls them basic links.
- Email and phone sign-ups, so visitors can join your list from your page.
- Insights for the last 28 days.
- One featured link.
- Up to 1,000 Instagram auto-replies a month.
The insights, featured link, and auto-reply limits come from Linktree's overview of paid features.
What the free plan leaves out
- Linktree branding. The Linktree logo stays on your page and your QR code. Hiding it needs Pro.
- A custom domain. Linktree's help center says: "Linktree doesn't support custom domains." Your address stays linktr.ee/yourname on every plan.
- Selling. Selling digital products needs a Pro or Premium plan, according to Linktree's Earn features article.
- Scheduling, email syncing, and exports. Link scheduling starts on Starter. Syncing sign-ups to Mailchimp, Kit, beehiiv, and other tools, and downloading subscribers as a CSV file, start on Pro.
What each plan adds
| Free | Starter | Pro | Premium | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price a month, US iPhone app | $0 | $7.99 | $14.99 | $34.99 |
| Insights history | 28 days | 90 days | 365 days | Lifetime |
| Featured links | 1 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Linktree branding | Shows | Shows | Can hide | Can hide |
| Link scheduling | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Email integrations | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Sell digital products | No | No | Yes, 0% Linktree fee | Yes, 0% Linktree fee |
| Instagram auto-replies a month | 1,000 | 1,500 | 2,500 | Unlimited |
| Custom domain | No | No | No | No |
The prices are the in-app purchases on Linktree's US App Store listing. On the website, billing yearly costs less per month than billing monthly. Premium also adds link rules, AI integrations, social post scheduling, data export, and admins who can help manage your page.
Is Linktree free forever?
Yes. Free is a plan, not a trial, and Linktree lists it with no end date. Pro and Premium are the plans that come with a 7-day free trial.
Is Linktree free for business?
Yes. The free plan has the same limits for a business as for anyone else. Businesses usually pay for two things: hiding the Linktree branding, which needs Pro, and insights past 28 days. Teams that need several people on one page look at Premium, which adds admins, or at Linktree's Agency and Enterprise plans, which add team seats and custom contracts.
Is Linktree free for Instagram?
Yes. Your linktr.ee link works in an Instagram bio on the free plan, which also includes up to 1,000 Instagram auto-replies a month. Instagram itself now allows up to five links in a bio, so a link page earns its place when you have more than five links or want a page you design.
Is Linktree free for nonprofits?
Linktree gives charities Pro for free. Its social good page says: "We are waiving fees for Linktree Pro. So far we have helped over 12,000 charities get free Linktree Pro accounts." You apply from that page.
Can you sell on Linktree's free plan?
Not paid digital products. Many guides still say the free plan takes a 12% cut of sales. Linktree's own pages now say something else. The help center, updated October 14, 2026, says selling digital products needs a Pro or Premium plan, and the pricing page lists Pro with 0% fees. You can still share free digital products on any plan.
On every plan, Stripe charges its processing fee of 2.9% plus $0.30 per purchase, according to Linktree's article on transaction and processing fees.
When the free plan is enough
- You share a handful of links and want them in one place.
- You collect email sign-ups and do not need them synced to a mailing tool.
- The Linktree logo on your page does not bother you.
- You check your results month to month, so 28 days of insights covers it.
When you will want more
People pay or switch for four reasons: their own domain, no branding, a longer view of their analytics, and selling. Linktree covers the last three on Pro, at $14.99 a month in the US app. It does not offer the first on any plan.
How pageo's free plan compares
We make pageo, so read this as our side. The facts come from our pricing page.
- pageo Free has unlimited links, analytics for the last 7 and 30 days, content blocks, and payment links to your own Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Buy Me a Coffee, or Ko-fi checkout with no pageo fee. A small "Join on pageo" badge shows on the page.
- pageo Pro costs $4 a month, or $40 a year. It adds a custom domain, hides the badge, and adds forms with one inbox, email subscribers, and analytics over 90 days or all time.
- Where Linktree does more: email sign-ups on the free plan, Instagram auto-replies, and social post scheduling.

Move from Linktree in one paste
- Open Import and paste your linktr.ee address.
- pageo reads your name, bio, photo, social icons, and links, and shows your new page before you sign up.
- Sign up and pick a username, and your links are on your new page. Then put your pageo link in your bio.
The Linktree switch guide covers what moves across and what stays behind.
